Hello, Let’s Wander

Adventure has always been part of who I am. I grew up in Southern California surrounded by sunshine, beaches, and the rich traditions of my Mexican heritage. Family gatherings were full of food made with love, laughter, and connection that lingers long after the day ends. Those moments taught me to slow down, notice the little things, and enjoy life with the people who matter most.

Some of my favorite childhood memories come from trips to Mexico. We didn’t stay in resorts. We stayed with relatives, wandered quiet towns, and explored wide-open ranches. Those trips sparked a lifelong love of travel, curiosity, and meaningful experiences.

That love has carried me through many adventures. Sometimes it’s a quiet day on a local trail or a lazy afternoon at the beach. Other times it’s walking across ancient glaciers, bungee-jumping where the sport began, or soaking in Costa Rica’s jungle hot springs. Every journey has shown me that travel is never just about the destination. It’s about the people we meet, the moments we share, and the ways it can change us from the inside out.

The name Wander Barefoot comes from one of my earliest travel memories. Visiting family in Mexico, I met a girl my age who didn’t have any shoes. I had just gotten a new pair, so I gave her mine. I will never forget the joy on her face as she ran down the street, skipping and laughing. That moment taught me something simple but powerful. Travel isn’t just about the places we see. It’s about connection, generosity, and the small ways we can touch someone else’s life. That memory continues to inspire everything I do with Wander Barefoot.

Through Wander Barefoot, I help couples, families, and small groups step away from the busy parts of life and reconnect with joy, each other, and the world around them. Every trip is planned with intention and care so you can slow down, breathe, explore, and come home with memories that last.
